With a remarkable maximum lifting capacity of 150 tonnes (175 USt) and an extended telescopic boom, the LTM 1150-5.3 stands as an excellent addition to Liebherr’s crane lineup, positioned just below the LTM 1160-5.2 model. Despite its twelve-tonne (26,450 lb) axle load, this crane can transport nine tonnes (19,800 lb) of ballast on public roads, eliminating the need for an additional vehicle for ballast transport and enhancing its versatility. Its robust telescopic boom can be further extended with various add-on jibs, compatible with many of our cranes boasting lifting capacities ranging from 100 to 180 tonnes (220,500 lb to 396,830 lb). The crane features a mechanical drive unit for the superstructure, allowing for weight reduction by eliminating the need for a separate superstructure engine. This weight savings is utilised to provide an extended boom and increased lifting capacity.
